- 21:16 watching a documentary about the world ending in 2012... should I start building an ark too?! #

Yesterday started out pretty well.
I had to wake up around 7am, in spite sleeping very late the night before, because I had to accompany Red to the LG service center in Alexandra Road to get her roommate's serviced laptop.
After getting the laptop, we decided to go to Vivo City to have lunch and watch a movie (Beyond a Reasonable Doubt) The movie sucked ass, by the way.
We just decided to go around the mall before we went to Singapore Polo Club(again!) to meet up with Yellow, TheHotOne, and TheHotOne's friends for dinner and a few rounds of beer.
We arrived at around 8pm at SPC. A band was playing, or more accurately, a duo. Two girls, 1 with a guitar, the other with a violin, both of them singing. The girl playing the violin looks and sounds like Barbie Almalbis. Can you just imagine my sheer excitement when TheHotOne introduced me to the Barbie-Almalbis-Singaporean-Clone after their set?! OMG I'm smitten... :P
Anyway, the night was going very well, until TheHotOne's ex-girlfriend (PsychoEx) "dropped-by" to talk to her. Apparently, they broke-up about a month ago, but PsychoEx just can't let go and is harassing her almost everyday to ask her to come back to her. Jeez... and I thought I was psychotic?! This girl's on a whole new level of crazy.
We thought that after a few minutes of talking between PsychoEx and TheHotOne, that that was the end of it. We're so dead-wrong.
As we were walking out of the place to have some coffee in Plaza Singapura, PsychoEx quickly followed TheHotOne. PsychoEx pulled TheHotOne's shoulders and slapped her in the face. WTF?! (Yes, slapping her in the face really tells her that you love her... Moron!)
We rushed to the scene to stop further damage. One of TheHotOne's friends wanted to beat the crap out of PyschoEx, but the rest of us managed to stop her. There was shouting and a lot of expletives thrown in the air, and TheHotOne was crying in one corner... it's like being stuck in some drama series on TV.
An old guy was driving by and he pulled over and tried to be the mediator in the situation. I on the other hand started calling 117 (emergency police number)
After about 10minutes, the police was there. We gave statements and so did PyschoEx. It was so surreal. Strangely enough, we weren't really worried to much. Most of us were actually making jokes about the situation. (Pinoy talaga! :P)
After about 30minutes, the police asked us to go our separate ways. PsychoEx went home, and the rest of us still went to Plaza Sing for coffee.
TheHotOne was still pretty shaken up with what just happened. The worst thing about all of this is that they work in the same place! Now that's just shitty...
At around 1.30am, after coffee and recapping all of the night's excitement, we all decided to go home. Red however, can only go home after 2.30am, because her roommate was not yet home and she forgot the keys to their flat.
So I just went with her to Tampines, (yes, all the way to the end of Singapore!) to the 24-hour McCafe near their block to accompany her as she waited for her rommie. After about an hour, I was already pretty sleepy. Red was searching for her other phone in her bag, much to her surprise, her house keys were in her bag all along! Whatthe...
So I walked her over to their flat and I FINALLY went back home. FINALLY.
I crashed the bed pretty hard... That night was just too much for someone who just had 3hours of sleep. :)
I just got back from dinner/drinking session with Red, Yellow, and Yellow's friend, which from here on out shall be referred to as TheHotOne (for lack of a more creative name). I wanted to give her a color-code as well, but no color could give her justice. She's just way to hot to be given a mere color-code... and if I may quote a line from Grey's Anatomy, (Meredith describing Callie to George)"She's hot. Dirty hot".
Can't wait to see her again tomorrow. :)

I'll be sent again for another mission. (I'm beginning to think my boss doesn't want me around the office that's why he keeps sending me out!)
This time it will be a very quick "partner inspection". Hold your thoughts people... it's not as dirty as it sounds.
Our company will be integrating one of our products with another company's product (thus, they are the partner). Now my job is to assess the "supportability" of their product. Since my team handles the support & maintenance of live platforms, this new "merged" solution will be our future problem anyway, so it's best that our team analyze and mitigate all the possible risks of this "lovechild" solution.
From what I've been briefed with, I'll be meeting with a lot of senior people. And by senior, I mean the politically correct term for OLD. Like 10 years or more older than me type of OLD. (yes, I'm an ageist!)
I've got nothing against old people in general... I just find them boring, and I'm sure they'll just find me obnoxious(the curse of youth). We're from different generations... anything we say to each other just sounds weird to our ears...
Anyway... in preparation for the meetings, I've decided to gather all the things I need to bring. Then after looking at my stuff, I've decided to leave them and proceed to the nearest bookstore to buy new ones instead.
Why? Ladies & gentlemen, my notebook:
Hey! Hey! Never judge a notebook by it's cover. "Pink-Cheeks-Milk-Cow" and I have been through a lot together! It contains a lot of work-stuff! (and funny drawings too!)
So I want to do my company right by representing them well... The least I can do is buy a decent and mature-looking (read: boring) notebook...
The age-appropriate(ZZzzzZZzzzz) notebook:
And yes, I will NOT be wearing my red rubber shoes to the meetings... (I'll try my best to resist... :P)
Wish me luck! :)

DISCLAIMER: picture may be "gory" for some people (wuss!)
I was cleaning-up my phone (in preparation for my new one :P) when I stumbled upon an old picture. (among other old pictures...) It's a picture of my pinky finger a few days after I accidentally "shaved" some portion of the skin.
I still remember how I got it. I was staying at Tin's house at that time. On our way out, I forgot to get something from my pouch. I slipped my fingers inside, totally forgetting that my razor was also there. Genius, right? :P
And now, looking at that finger, no one would even notice that it was injured previously. I don't even remember how much painful it felt, but I do remember complaining about it often in the past! :P
Could this be a sign from the cosmos?! A ray of enlightenment from the heavens leading me to wisdom?! A sign of deliverance from despair?! Should I start honking the trumpet, Gideon?! NO. Of course not. Let's not get too excited here, people...
Flesh wounds are a totally different story.
But I'd like to think there's progress here. I know that in time, I won't even remember yapping about all these hoopla about heartaches and linking them to the most mundane of things(like say a healing finger?!). At worst, hopefully, I'll just look back at all of these and laugh and say "OMG, that's sooo high school!"
But for now, let me make a big deal about this and let's just celebrate this little victory of the flesh. My pinky is fixed! Next stop, my heart! :D (Ok, let me say it for you: "OMG, that's sooo high school")
:D

So I was in a very important meeting this morning. You'd expect a decent person to focus and give 100% concentration... but guess what I did? Right in the middle of the discussion, for a good 3 seconds, I stopped and looked outside the window. My colleagues asked me if there was anything wrong. I was too embarrassed to say the truth, so I just told them it was nothing, and picked-up where we left off.
The truth? Right in the middle of something I was saying, I saw a squirrel running in the roof of the building across the street... hihihi...
Does that remind you of someone? No?
Let me refresh your memory...
Yet another proof of my immaturity... :P

I went inside the drug store near the hotel I'm staying in to buy something to drink. While trying to pick which fruit juice to buy, the song "Can You Stand the Rain" by Boys 2 Men started playing.
I couldn't help but smile, as it brought back morsels of memories. This song was part of the mixed tape (as in cassette tape) my first girlfriend gave me, way back in High School. I know... cheezy... and yes, I am THAT old.
It was one of the most beautiful gifts I have ever received. I even had it converted to CD when I was in college, just so I can preserve actual the songs she painstakingly recorded, the old-fashioned way (now, that's love!).
I waited inside the drug store for the song to finish before leaving. And I'm pretty sure I left there with a smile. That might have scared the storekeeper. hehehe...

It's been a week since I've arrived in Montreal, but my body-clock still hasn't adjusted to the time difference. I woke-up wide-awake at 2:30am. By 3:30am, I was hungry, so I reheated some of the left-overs from dinner.
Great! So much for adjusting!
I initially thought that the time difference between Montreal and Singapore is 12hours. Apparently, it's 13. However, when I arrived, they were implementing Daylight Savings Time, thus explaining why the time difference was only 12.
Now, November 1, marks the end of the DST, so it's back to 13hours!
Hayst... I really need to sleep now...
