reality-check

I just watched "Music and Lyrics" tonight at HBO. And boy, was it a chick-flick or what?!

Not that I don't enjoy chick-flicks in general. It's good to have a few light-hearted movies once in a while. Thing is, those kind of films suffer from a very formulaic plot that is just lacking in common sense and logic. I mean, at one point you're like teary-eyed, smiling, and saying "awwww.... ", then a few seconds later, your evil mind shouts at you: "Who are you kidding? That never happens in real life!... or maybe it does, but then someone dies in the end..." (Yes, people, Debbie Downer lives inside my head!)

Drew Barrymore was as charming as always playing the vulnerable, and slightly "coo-koo" girl. Hugh Grant looked awful dancing, which I guess was the entire point why they made him dance in the first place. Oh, and the songs were outrageously cheezy! I guess it would appeal to me, if say, I was in high school and still drooling over a crush, while writing a poem under a tree shade. (soooo highschool!)

So basically, it's a so-so film. However, I did have a few laughs with most of Hugh Grant's lines, which again brings me back to reality: "nobody is THAT spontaneously witty!"

I just remembered...

it's Easter today!

(and no, that's not the reason I'm feeling "hormonal" today... I'm not that much of a debbie downer!)

Happy Easter dear Christians! Happy egg hunting too!
And remember, easy on the eggs, they are high in cholesterol...

And another thing, when you see this creepy bunny, do me a favor, and kick him in the 'nads...
(for no reason whatsoever, other than the fact that he gives me the creeps...)

"so you want some eggs eh?"

creepy right?!?

I have a monthly drama quota

I really want to say something right now, but I can't seem to find the right words... Well, I actually know the words, just can't seem to say it...

Three simple words, and for the life of me, I am scared-shit of saying them.
I shouldn't be right?! I mean, I should be proud of it, yet here I am, still being all too weird about it.

sigh... wala lang, I just needed to blog something "dramatic" this month. hehehe... :)
maybe it's all this rain that's been pouring lately, maybe even the hormones, or maybe another case of the crazies...

**sigh**... why am a such a nutcase???

welcome the newest member of the family...

the-things-that-I-don't-intend-to-buy-but-hell!-I-buy-anyway family, that is...

the newest swipe: Wilson Fantom Ace badminton racket

My project group will be playing badminton every wednesday, (or atleast we will try!)
so I had no choice but to buy a new racket, since my ever-reliable Gosen badminton racket is back at home (and probably being torn into pieces by my 6-year-old nephew, as we speak)

I was actually looking for a Gosen badminton racket, that is the same, if not better than the one I have back at home, but apparently, it's not a very popular brand here... darn it!
Most rackets here are either Wilson or Yonex. Yonex, of course, I would never buy, since their rackets are not cheap (and I am... hehehe)

Tomorrow is our game # 1. Hopefully, this really turns out to be a weekly event, as I am in dire need of exercise! (And hopefully, my ass won't get kicked in the process...)

Apparently, there are scarier things in life…

If you’ve been reading this blog for quite some time, you know how I feel about women prancing around in towels… In a nutshell, I find it disturbing. (I’m not kidding). Don’t get me started on the many possible reasons… I just do!

Anyway, I applied for a gym membership here, not so long ago, as the current state of my health is equally disturbing. (I feel I’m losing muscle mass and gaining weight at the same time… not a very good combination.)

Going back…Me hitting the gym gives you a pretty good idea what this post is about… the ever scary: “women in towels…” But what I’ve learned today is that, apparently, there are far more scary things in life… Women WITHOUT towels!!!

[blur the screen and insert flashback music…]
I was fixing my stuff in the locker. I was crouching since I chose the lower locker (because I’m a freakin’ midget!) As I closed the door and was about to stand… there IT was...

“Well, hello there, another woman’s hoo-ha, how do you do?”

-----

Note to self, choose the corner-most locker next time.

ping

I'm alive.
(fortunately and unfortunately, depending on who you ask...)

It's just that these past few days, I'm either busy or too unmotivated to write something here. Actually, until now, I still don't feel like writing.... so I'll stop now...

**yawn**
