Holy Week in Cebu (part 1)

I went back to Manila on the early morning of April 9. By 5am, I met Tin, her mom, and his younger brother in the Airport. After a quick breakfast with them at the Airport, me and Tin proceeded to check-in. While inside, we waited a few more minutes for the boarding call for our trip to Cebu. To pass time, we ate (AGAIN?!), or more accurately, I ate again. :)

Masama bang kumain ng breakfast?! (ULIT?!)

It's a plane!

The flight from Manila to Cebu was smooth, other than a minor set-back for us during boarding. A mother and her child was sitting on our seats. She was asking if we can swap seats with her, since she and her child were assigned seats which weren't side-by-side. Tin, being the nice and generous person that she is, didn't mind. I, on the otherhand was grumpy all thought-out the trip. This was our first plane trip together and it sucks that we have to sit separately. I was seated directly behind Tin, instead of being seated beside her. Burotness!!!

I was trying to look angry, but I ended up looking like someone with explosive diarrhea

After about an hour in flight, we managed to land safely in Cebu. We took a cab to Maribago Blue Water Resort.

Once we're there, we were welcomed with a necklace made of small shells.

Ang hirap palang maging buntis na turtle

After checking-in we went straight to the room to clean-up and rest for a while.

Wow! Ang ayos ng gamit namin noh!?!

After cleaning-up and resting for a little while, we went around the resort.

After going around the resort, we had buffet breakfast.

After a hearty breakfast, we continued exploring the resort.

We saw the billiard table and the tabletennis table, which was free to be used by in-house guests. We played one round of 8-ball and 9-ball, where I was mercilessly hustled by Tin.

We also played tabletennis, but soon realized that we weren't cut-out for that sport. Since it was still too hot to swim, decided to head back to the room to rest for a while.

While taking a nap, may salbaheng bata na nag-picture... tsk..tsk...

Parang "scandal" ang dating... hehehe...

After a quick nap, we decide to have late lunch. We ate at one of the cafe's inside the resort. We had pasta and pizza.

Mukhang batang inapi...

We continued to walk around and chill around the resort. Soon it was getting dark so we went into the pool to have a swim.

After swimming, we cleaned-up and prepared to have dinner.

We decided to have dinner at the seafood restaurant, where you can meet-and-greet your food before eating them.

Both of us were fascinated by the huge seashell chandelier in the restaurant

Who shall be the unlucky lobster tonight?

"Hello there, animal below me on the food chain, how do you do. Or more accurately, what's the best way to cook you?"

We chose to have lobster and some fish whose name I do not know. After a very long wait, our food finally arrived.

Yey! Finally!

Kelangan simutin! Para sulit!

My futile attempt at reconstructing the lobster

Later during the dinner, we also ordered alcoholic drinks. This evening was our advanced celebration of our 6th month together.

Tin's drink

Me wondering why I ever bothered ordering alcoholic beverages

At least I can eat the cherry!

After dinner, we sat on one of the wooden lounges near the shore to pass some time and enjoy the view.

We stayed there for almost an hour. We realized it was getting late so we went back to our room and called it a night.
