Classic Black and White with a Dash of Sexy Red... and a lump of Doreamon???

As I've mentioned in my past post, I rearranged my room the other day, and bought a few stuff to complete my "classic black and white, with a dash of sexy red" color scheme.

My bed with a lot more pillows and new sheets. I elevated the bed aswell, by adding another thinner cushion underneath:


My workspace, Japanese-style: (a.k.a., I'm too cheap to buy a real desk and a decent chair)




I tucked away the bears so that it would look more like a grown-up's room. (Don't worry, they are in a safe place and i'm pretty sure they're still singing their morning songs... :P)

My problem, however, is Doreamon... where do I keep such a huge stuffed toy?!

a change that's badly needed

I was so tired yesterday, cleaning-up my room. I can't believe there's that much clutter and crap in one small room!

I've re-arranged everything, even my bed's location and height. I removed one wooden table, and replaced it with a nice little box that acts as a side table. I also managed to find a relatively cheap full-length mirror from FairPrice in Boon Lay.

I discarded some old pillows and bedsheets and some clothes I know I'd never wear again. I also removed the desk clock which I can't really use to tell time. (it looks good though, but rather useless)

And to make my room a bit more tidier, (and more like a grown-up's room) I removed the bears and tucked them into a neat little box. Doreamon, though, due to his size, is impossible to store, so he get's to stay in my bed. (For now.)

So far I still need to buy a small carpet and a few floor pillows to make the room a bit more cossy.

I'll post pictures soon as I have finalized everything (and once I have the time) :P

My brother and his soon-to-be wife gave me the gigantic Doreamon and the 9 carebears for my 26th birthday...

For the longest I can recall, most people I know seem to be giving me stuff which they would usually give 5 year-old children... I wonder what that implies! hehehe...

Obviously, I can't keep them all in my bed, except for Tina-bear who has always been in bed with me, so I had to transfer everyone else elsewhere:



I dumped Doreamon and the technicolor bears on the "bookcase" at the foot of my bed. Thus, the first thing I see when I get out of bed are 10 inanimate objects smiling creepily back at me. Wow...Good morning!

ending on a high note...

I just realized that my previous entry was a bit of a downer...

So I'd like to leave today's entry on a high note...

We FINALLY found a nice flat! After several sleepless nights,"strait times", annoying agents, viewing sessions, bloody debates, and shameless haggling, we finally found a really good flat. A bit expensive, but I think it's well worth the price. It's partially furnished, so that means I'd have to buy some furniture for my room.

I'm kind of excited because I get to "design" my own room... I'm thinking of going for Japanese/minimalist style... in short, I'm cheap so I won't be buying that much stuff. Just a mattress (all because I need it), and probably a small table (oh, screw it, I'll just stack phone directories together, that should have the same effect) Then maybe I'll add a mug in one corner of the room. Just because it's the only "decorative" thing I have. It's kinda like prison... not that I've been there! (atleast not YET... :) )
