As many of my friends know, I don't cook, and I have no whatsoever intention of learning how to (due to previous failed attempts... hehehe).
Although in college, I usually cook fried rice with random ingredients (from canned stuff), but that really doesn't count as cooking. It's more like heating stuff to make them more edible so that me and my housemates won't die of hunger.
Anyway, as I was saying, I have no intention of learning the art of cooking. I mean, why bother learning how to cook, when you can just marry someone who knows how to? Right? :P So I'll just marry someone who can cook for me, and everything will be okay. :D
I was under the impression that most women know how to cook. Or at least would want to learn how to. Unfortunately, Red is not one of them.
Me and Red are so "compatible", that we are living on the same "let them cook for me" principle. In short, if we really do end up together, we'll die of hunger (in each other's arms, of course... yikee) or thrive on fast food. (which will eventually lead to early death)
And so to prevent our early death, I've taken the task of learning how to cook real food. (O.A. no? hehehe)
I decided to cook Sinigang for my first attempt (ambitious much?). With Donna's help, we managed to pull it off (I think, considering there were no casualties out of the people who ate the dish :P)
My brother, his wife, Yellow, Red, and Donna were the guinea pigs. As of post time, there have been no reported cases of LBM. :P
And according to Red... pwede na daw...pwede na daw akong maging katulong. :P bwaahahaha...

...look who's still alive!?! hehehe...
Apologies my kiddies if I haven't been updating my blog these past couple of weeks. My life has been terribly pre-occupied... (in a really great way :) )
Ano na nga bang nangyari sa akin lately?
- got myself an iPhone
- met a new set of lesbian friends
- spending most of my weekends with Yellow and Red
- cooked sinigang & champorado for the very first time
- getting closer and closer to Red
Actually madami pang ibang small-small events and things but I'm too lazy to put them down here. hehehe... :P Basta ang bottom-line, I'm really happy where I am now. And I can't wait for things to get even better. :D

A drunk four-year old cross-dresser steals neighbor's Christmas presents... Now that's a statement I didn't think would make sense... until I watched this news clip:
Holy crap... What's happening to the world?!

I woke-up today not feeling so good. I think all the late-night activities is taking a toll on my body... (signs of old age? :P)
To add to the crappy feelings for today, I found out that Red will be going out to dinner with some other person. grrrrr.... (possessive much? :P)
Then I had a fight with Yellow in YM because of some stupid movie schedule of New Moon. (soooooo immature!!!)
But one thing redeemed this day from the shitholes... TheHotOne asked if I wanted to watch a movie with her after work. :D

Yesterday started out pretty well.
I had to wake up around 7am, in spite sleeping very late the night before, because I had to accompany Red to the LG service center in Alexandra Road to get her roommate's serviced laptop.
After getting the laptop, we decided to go to Vivo City to have lunch and watch a movie (Beyond a Reasonable Doubt) The movie sucked ass, by the way.
We just decided to go around the mall before we went to Singapore Polo Club(again!) to meet up with Yellow, TheHotOne, and TheHotOne's friends for dinner and a few rounds of beer.
We arrived at around 8pm at SPC. A band was playing, or more accurately, a duo. Two girls, 1 with a guitar, the other with a violin, both of them singing. The girl playing the violin looks and sounds like Barbie Almalbis. Can you just imagine my sheer excitement when TheHotOne introduced me to the Barbie-Almalbis-Singaporean-Clone after their set?! OMG I'm smitten... :P
Anyway, the night was going very well, until TheHotOne's ex-girlfriend (PsychoEx) "dropped-by" to talk to her. Apparently, they broke-up about a month ago, but PsychoEx just can't let go and is harassing her almost everyday to ask her to come back to her. Jeez... and I thought I was psychotic?! This girl's on a whole new level of crazy.
We thought that after a few minutes of talking between PsychoEx and TheHotOne, that that was the end of it. We're so dead-wrong.
As we were walking out of the place to have some coffee in Plaza Singapura, PsychoEx quickly followed TheHotOne. PsychoEx pulled TheHotOne's shoulders and slapped her in the face. WTF?! (Yes, slapping her in the face really tells her that you love her... Moron!)
We rushed to the scene to stop further damage. One of TheHotOne's friends wanted to beat the crap out of PyschoEx, but the rest of us managed to stop her. There was shouting and a lot of expletives thrown in the air, and TheHotOne was crying in one corner... it's like being stuck in some drama series on TV.
An old guy was driving by and he pulled over and tried to be the mediator in the situation. I on the other hand started calling 117 (emergency police number)
After about 10minutes, the police was there. We gave statements and so did PyschoEx. It was so surreal. Strangely enough, we weren't really worried to much. Most of us were actually making jokes about the situation. (Pinoy talaga! :P)
After about 30minutes, the police asked us to go our separate ways. PsychoEx went home, and the rest of us still went to Plaza Sing for coffee.
TheHotOne was still pretty shaken up with what just happened. The worst thing about all of this is that they work in the same place! Now that's just shitty...
At around 1.30am, after coffee and recapping all of the night's excitement, we all decided to go home. Red however, can only go home after 2.30am, because her roommate was not yet home and she forgot the keys to their flat.
So I just went with her to Tampines, (yes, all the way to the end of Singapore!) to the 24-hour McCafe near their block to accompany her as she waited for her rommie. After about an hour, I was already pretty sleepy. Red was searching for her other phone in her bag, much to her surprise, her house keys were in her bag all along! Whatthe...
So I walked her over to their flat and I FINALLY went back home. FINALLY.
I crashed the bed pretty hard... That night was just too much for someone who just had 3hours of sleep. :)
I just got back from dinner/drinking session with Red, Yellow, and Yellow's friend, which from here on out shall be referred to as TheHotOne (for lack of a more creative name). I wanted to give her a color-code as well, but no color could give her justice. She's just way to hot to be given a mere color-code... and if I may quote a line from Grey's Anatomy, (Meredith describing Callie to George)"She's hot. Dirty hot".
Can't wait to see her again tomorrow. :)

I'll be sent again for another mission. (I'm beginning to think my boss doesn't want me around the office that's why he keeps sending me out!)
This time it will be a very quick "partner inspection". Hold your thoughts people... it's not as dirty as it sounds.
Our company will be integrating one of our products with another company's product (thus, they are the partner). Now my job is to assess the "supportability" of their product. Since my team handles the support & maintenance of live platforms, this new "merged" solution will be our future problem anyway, so it's best that our team analyze and mitigate all the possible risks of this "lovechild" solution.
From what I've been briefed with, I'll be meeting with a lot of senior people. And by senior, I mean the politically correct term for OLD. Like 10 years or more older than me type of OLD. (yes, I'm an ageist!)
I've got nothing against old people in general... I just find them boring, and I'm sure they'll just find me obnoxious(the curse of youth). We're from different generations... anything we say to each other just sounds weird to our ears...
Anyway... in preparation for the meetings, I've decided to gather all the things I need to bring. Then after looking at my stuff, I've decided to leave them and proceed to the nearest bookstore to buy new ones instead.
Why? Ladies & gentlemen, my notebook:
Hey! Hey! Never judge a notebook by it's cover. "Pink-Cheeks-Milk-Cow" and I have been through a lot together! It contains a lot of work-stuff! (and funny drawings too!)
So I want to do my company right by representing them well... The least I can do is buy a decent and mature-looking (read: boring) notebook...
The age-appropriate(ZZzzzZZzzzz) notebook:
And yes, I will NOT be wearing my red rubber shoes to the meetings... (I'll try my best to resist... :P)
Wish me luck! :)

DISCLAIMER: picture may be "gory" for some people (wuss!)
I was cleaning-up my phone (in preparation for my new one :P) when I stumbled upon an old picture. (among other old pictures...) It's a picture of my pinky finger a few days after I accidentally "shaved" some portion of the skin.
I still remember how I got it. I was staying at Tin's house at that time. On our way out, I forgot to get something from my pouch. I slipped my fingers inside, totally forgetting that my razor was also there. Genius, right? :P
And now, looking at that finger, no one would even notice that it was injured previously. I don't even remember how much painful it felt, but I do remember complaining about it often in the past! :P
Could this be a sign from the cosmos?! A ray of enlightenment from the heavens leading me to wisdom?! A sign of deliverance from despair?! Should I start honking the trumpet, Gideon?! NO. Of course not. Let's not get too excited here, people...
Flesh wounds are a totally different story.
But I'd like to think there's progress here. I know that in time, I won't even remember yapping about all these hoopla about heartaches and linking them to the most mundane of things(like say a healing finger?!). At worst, hopefully, I'll just look back at all of these and laugh and say "OMG, that's sooo high school!"
But for now, let me make a big deal about this and let's just celebrate this little victory of the flesh. My pinky is fixed! Next stop, my heart! :D (Ok, let me say it for you: "OMG, that's sooo high school")
:D

So I was in a very important meeting this morning. You'd expect a decent person to focus and give 100% concentration... but guess what I did? Right in the middle of the discussion, for a good 3 seconds, I stopped and looked outside the window. My colleagues asked me if there was anything wrong. I was too embarrassed to say the truth, so I just told them it was nothing, and picked-up where we left off.
The truth? Right in the middle of something I was saying, I saw a squirrel running in the roof of the building across the street... hihihi...
Does that remind you of someone? No?
Let me refresh your memory...
Yet another proof of my immaturity... :P

I went inside the drug store near the hotel I'm staying in to buy something to drink. While trying to pick which fruit juice to buy, the song "Can You Stand the Rain" by Boys 2 Men started playing.
I couldn't help but smile, as it brought back morsels of memories. This song was part of the mixed tape (as in cassette tape) my first girlfriend gave me, way back in High School. I know... cheezy... and yes, I am THAT old.
It was one of the most beautiful gifts I have ever received. I even had it converted to CD when I was in college, just so I can preserve actual the songs she painstakingly recorded, the old-fashioned way (now, that's love!).
I waited inside the drug store for the song to finish before leaving. And I'm pretty sure I left there with a smile. That might have scared the storekeeper. hehehe...

It's been a week since I've arrived in Montreal, but my body-clock still hasn't adjusted to the time difference. I woke-up wide-awake at 2:30am. By 3:30am, I was hungry, so I reheated some of the left-overs from dinner.
Great! So much for adjusting!
I initially thought that the time difference between Montreal and Singapore is 12hours. Apparently, it's 13. However, when I arrived, they were implementing Daylight Savings Time, thus explaining why the time difference was only 12.
Now, November 1, marks the end of the DST, so it's back to 13hours!
Hayst... I really need to sleep now...

I may have mentioned how much I don't like Canada because of the freakingly cold weather. But now Canada has redeemed itself in my books because of this:
Canada has Image+Nation! It is a yearly GLBT (Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transsexual) Film festival. And I'm sooo going today! :)
Hopefully, I'll also be able to join the Halloween party later tonight to celebrate the last night of the festival. My costume? I'm going as an Asian IT engineer. :P Let's see if they'll buy that! Hahahaha...

In the past, I've managed to stop myself from being a full-pledged coffee addict. In fact, prior to this week, I haven't been drinking much coffee. Probably, on average, I'll be drinking about less than a cup in a month!
But now, as a result of the boring week-long Oracle DB Admin training and endless late-night chatting, I needed to resort to drinking coffee again in order to survive the rest of the day.
And since I'm not used to that much caffeine in my system, my heart starts to palpitate after the 2nd cup. But does that stop me from drinking a 3rd and 4th cup? Nooooo...
I'm soooo dying young.

I didn't do it to hurt you.
Please understand that I just needed to do it for myself. I just don't want to feel this awful pain anymore and I'm doing any means necessary for me to do that. And it is, in no way an indication of how much I care about you.
I will always care about you.

There are a lot of French people in our company. One main thing I've noticed about them is that they like using fart sounds as expressions.
For example, instead of using a "sad trombone" sounds for "burot moments", they use fart sounds. Or when they are presenting something in PowerPoint, each time a new item pops in the screen, they also make the same fart sounds.
Last week, we started our training sessions with HP and our main trainer is a French guy as well. He seems to enjoy making fart sounds too, so I'm guessing it's not just the French in our company.
And another thing, during the training with HP, we needed to use their test servers which are based in France. And guess what are the names of their test servers??? fart07 and fart08... What the?!
What's with the French and their fascination with farts??

Our training session last Wednesday finished quite early. I really didn't want to go back home that soon, so I asked Red if she wanted to have dinner.
Red was already on her way home from work. Not wanting to ask her to haul her ass over to the city, I volunteered to go near her place for dinner. She lived all the way in Tampines! From where I live, it's literally at the other end of the island! I took the train and got there in about an hour.
We got Thai food for dinner. (I LOOOOOVE Thai food!!!) The conversation wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It actually flowed! Hmmnn.... Red's growing on me. :)
After dinner we decided to stay a little longer to talk for a while. We decided to call it a night at around 11pm, since I needed to catch a train all the way back to the other end.

Yellow and I were chatting today. She was telling me that I should go for Red. To which I stated the obvious that me and Red were not a match. She begged to differ.
This was basically the main theme of our chat session today. (including a few dribbles of weird and funny things)
Then I remembered that I'll need to go to Plaza Singapura to buy a guitar pick and a mobile broadband dongle from Starhub. Remembering that she lived near-by, I asked if she wanted to go.
She did not give a definite yes/no answer. And somehow the question was never answered because we were busy talking about other nonsensical things.
By 6pm, she told me she's getting out of the office. I honestly thought she was heading back home. Apparently, she went to Plaza Singapura, thinking that we'll meet-up there.
I did manage to go to Plaza Singapura, but I since I was not expecting her to be there, I didn't look for her. I just got the things I needed, then left.
She wasn't able to call me, because she has some issues with her phone. She waited for me for about 1 hour and 30 minutes in Plaza Sing.
I only came to know that she waited in Plaza Sing once I was home and I logged into YM and she sent me a message: "oi, bata, sana nag text ka man lang na di ka na pupunta ng plaza sing"
I felt so bad. I called her to apologize, she said it was fine, but I still feel like I was such a tool.
Insert sad trombone here...

Yesterday, I met-up with another femme I met online. For story-telling purposes, let's call her Red.
I've been chatting with her for about a few days now. We don't talk about much, but it's enough for me to know that we're not a "match", so to speak. I find myself running out of things to talk about when I'm chatting with her. This is almost always not a good sign.
One of my main requirements for a partner is that she has to be someone I can talk with endlessly. Because when you're gray and old, the only thing left to do is to talk. I don't think I can stand being with someone I am not comfortable and happy talking with.
Anyway, given that I have no romantic inclinations towards Red, I invited Yellow to tag along.
I went out of our house early so I can drop-by Yellow's place (hihihi...). I stayed there for a couple of hours, then by 6.30pm, we went out to go to Bugis to meet-up with Red.
We went around Bugis because Red was looking for some cargo pants. After about 30minutes of window shopping, we decided to have dinner. I was suggesting that we have Thai food (I love Thai food!), but apparently Yellow has some issues with spicy food. (tsk...tsk...) We ended up having "western food" in NYDC.
After dinner we stayed for some time to continue our "getting to know each other" session. By 11.30pm, we called it a night, and hopped on the last train back to our respective homes.
The night's summary:
Red means stop. Yellow means slowdown. :)

... literally SLEEP, JUST SLEEP. (as in TULOG LANG)
(I'm just after a shocking title.. hehehe)
Last Saturday night, I was chatting in a pinoy GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered) chat room which I recently joined a few days back.
A femme comes in and says that she's from Singapore too. We get each other's YM id, and a few minutes later, we're chatting in YM. For story-telling purposes, let's call her Yellow.
Apparently, Yellow and I both live along the MRT Red Line, thus she conceived this insane idea that I come over to her place to have a few drinks. Do note that this was at 10pm!
The idea of meeting a total stranger at her home seems strange and more so, possibly dangerous. For one thing, this stranger could be a serial killer for all I know.
But boredom got the best of me and it was a long weekend anyway, so what the hell! (and fine, she did have a cute picture in her profile and an even cuter voice.. shoot me!)
She gave me her number so we can set out a plan on which station to meet up, so she can fetch me.
I managed to catch a train and in no time both of us met-up in the MRT station near her place. A few minutes of walking and talking, and we reach her place. (I love this country's efficient transport system!)
We finally catch each other's full name (yes, only at this point did we get to know), where we're from, what we do, over Vodka+OJ and Heineken beer, while watching TFC.
We were talking so much that we didn't notice the time. Soon we noticed that the sun was starting to rise! We managed to get some sleep at around 7am. We woke-up at around 12nn (probably out of hunger).
Yellow cooked "breakfast food" for lunch. (don't you just love breakfast food for lunch?). I left her place at around 3pm, because I have a 7pm Pictionary game with my officemates. (which I contemplated on not attending just so I can stay longer in Yellow's place, but then I realize that I was the one who'll bring the Pictionary board game! darn it!)
However, all is not lost, as we will be meeting each other again... :P

No, this is not another "drama" post....
I am literally out of tears!
I went to the clinic today to have my eyes checked as it was very itchy and it was irritated, since yesterday.
The doctor prescribed artificial tears
Now that's just pathetic right there...
I managed to stop crying, but now I'm forced to buy "poser" tears!

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is one of my favorite movies. And this one is my favorite part:
This is inside the mind of Joel as he is struggling to keep the remaining memories of Clementine, while he is undergoing a medical procedure to remove memories their past failed relationship.
Joel: I walked out, I walked out the door!
Clementine: Why?
Joel: I don't know. I felt like I was a scared little kid, I was like... it was above my head, I don't know.
Clementine: You were scared?
Joel: Yeah. I thought you knew that about me. I ran back to the bonfire, trying to outrun my humiliation.
Clementine: Was it something I said?
Joel: Yeah, you said "so go." With such disdain, you know?
Clementine: Oh, I'm sorry.
Joel: It's okay.
[Walking Out]
Clementine: Joely? What if you stayed this time?
Joel: I walked out the door. There's no memory left.
Clementine: Come back and make up a good-bye at least. Let's pretend we had one.
[Joel comes back]
Clementine: Bye Joel.
Joel: I love you...

I saw this video from a blog I'm following.
It started out quite funny, but then as the video was progressing, I felt really sad. (as in 2 teardrops... :P)
To borrow (read: steal) the words of the blogger:
"The best way to describe it is: imagine falling down, and you’re trying your best to get up, but you can’t. You try and try and try and TRY and TTTRRRYYYYYYYY…but you can’t."

My brother tied the knot today with his girlfriend of more than 7 years. (tagal no?)
The wedding was awesome. The venue was grand, but it still managed to be intimate. The food tasted great! The video coverage and photos was just perfect.
I'm so happy for my brother and his new wife. It's a good start to a life-long commitment.
Speaking of weddings, if you know me well enough, you'd think I'd complain about wearing a dress or high-heeled shoes. Yes, I didn't like having to wear them, but that was the least of my concerns.
What I particularly do not like about weddings (especially weddings wherein I have relatives in the crowd), is the never-ending question: "Oh, ikaw? kelan ka naman kakasal?" Once or twice in one day is fine. But having 30+ people ask the same thing over and over again is just annoying.
I have to say polite and creative answers each time, just so I don't lose my control and strangle them one by one. Although there were so many times that I just want to answer back "Putang ina mo rin!" or "eh, ikaw, kelan ka gaganda?"
Now the pressure is definitely on, since I'm "next in line" and I'm 26 years old. Apparently, 23-25 is the "ideal" age, according to them. So I'm delayed by 1 year. Fuck.
What's the deal with marrying early anyway? Or putting such a "tight" deadline on it?(disclaimer: I'm not judging people who want to do it early, it's a matter of personal choice.)
I mean, back in the old days, it was needed. People needed to start procreating early since the world needed more people to plow the fields, raise livestock, or fight needless wars, and the mortality rate is so high, people died early for the stupidest of reasons. Plus, what else is there left to do? No TV, no internet, no lights (and while we're at it, no indoor plumbing!).
But now, in a world wherein you can juggle earning a master's degree, threading office politics in the workplace, shuffling dates with friends and lovers, and busting a sweat in the gym, who has time to get married?
I'm not saying I don't want to get married (assuming gay marriage becomes legal). It's in the "Someday-Maybe" box. which is sitting between the "Application Form Dropbox for A New Girlfriend" (which is sadly empty at this time), and the "Future Hopes and Dreams for Myself" box (which is full to the brim)
In short, I have no time for it now, and I don't have anyone to marry, and even if I have someone, it's not even legally possible to marry her at this point. But this answer is just way too long and way too boring... maybe next time, I'll just stick to "putang ina mo rin!" (well, it's much kinder than strangling people. :P)

Ben and Jerry's changed the name of one of it's ice cream "Chubby Hubby" to "Hubby Hubby" to celebrate gay marriage legalization in it's home state, Vermont.
Read story here.
Now, I wonder if they will be selling this in Singapore... Hmmmnn.... :P

I was sitting alone in Kopitiam in Clementi waiting for Donna. The weather was pretty gloomy and everything's in slow-motion. I forgot to bring a book to keep me occupied. I hate it when I'm not busy these past few days. I just end up over-analyzing everything... The idle mind is the devil's workshop. And let me tell you, the devil indeed finished a lot of projects inside my head today.

Go
by Barbie's Cradle
Go...Love her with all your heart
Go...Leave me where I am
Cause I'll be fine
I'll take care of myself
I will keep
everything we shared
Go...To a higher plane
Go...Don't worry I'll stay sane
The day we end
The waiting starts
But it's patient waiting
waiting
It's good
It's good for the heart
Food for the soul
Go...You can always return
Go...No bridges will be burned
Cause I'm a friend
As much as a lover
This doesn't know an ending
We'll keep each other in the heart
and reunite our souls

As I've mentioned in my past post, I rearranged my room the other day, and bought a few stuff to complete my "classic black and white, with a dash of sexy red" color scheme.
Here are the pictures:
The mirror I bought from FairPrice: (the price of which, I must say, is not very fair!)
My bed with a lot more pillows and new sheets. I elevated the bed aswell, by adding another thinner cushion underneath:
My workspace, Japanese-style: (a.k.a., I'm too cheap to buy a real desk and a decent chair)

I tucked away the bears so that it would look more like a grown-up's room. (Don't worry, they are in a safe place and i'm pretty sure they're still singing their morning songs... :P)
My problem, however, is Doreamon... where do I keep such a huge stuffed toy?!
FAIL! Insert sad trombone here...

Sleep
by Barbie's Cradle
I'd like to stay but would you like that or would you rather have me
Leave you alone in a peaceful home would you rather not see
You hit the ground and hear the sound of a child crying
Her eyes are colder and colors of morning disappear
"Where did I go?" that's what I say it's my daily question
"Where did you go?" I saw you leave you made my last decision
When you awaken I'll be the first you'll take before the coffee
When you retire I'll be the last your eyes will see before you
Sleep at night, I will sing my lullabye
I will not flinch when pictures come 'cause they make me peaceful
But don't ask me now 'cause now I'm numb I let go of a painful
Memory I don't wanna be stuck here anymore, you know
You'll go on and so will I but I'm only lying
Sleep at night, I still sing my lullabye
Sleep at night, I will sing my lullabye
The morning sun scorches my skin
Day is burning into nothing nothing nothing
When you look away, you tell me I still could touch you
But only when I...
Sleep at night, I still sing my lullabye
Sleep at night, I will sing my lullabye...

What Do We Mean To Each Other
by Sergio Mendes
I'd rather know if you had turned the page
If you go faster than I do
Suddenly it's not so clear just what I am to you
Am I friend, am I lover, do we still need each other
When you touch me, when you touch me baby I can tell
What do we mean to each other, am I friend, am I lover is it over now
If this is it then why bother tell me where do we take it from here
What do we mean to each other am I friend ,am I lover, is it over now
Do you love me still or do you just mean well
I can see clearly how im hurting you
Every breath gives you a way
All we go on separate roads has gone in the way.
Am I friend, am I lover, do we still need each other
When you hold me, when you hold me baby I can tell
What do we mean to each other, am I friend, am I lover is it over now
If this is it then why bother tell me where do we take it from here
What do we mean to each other am I friend ,am I lover, is it over now
Do you love me still or do you just mean well
Time became a poison looking slowly on my home
Screwing all the memories, Is it tearing us apart
When you touch me, when you touch me baby I can tell
What do we mean to each other, am I friend, am I lover is it over now
If this is it then why bother tell me where do we take it from here
What do we mean to each other am I friend ,am I lover, is it over now
Do you love me still or do you just mean well
What do we mean to each other, am I friend, am I lover is it over now
If this is it then why bother tell me where do we take it from here
What do we mean to each other am I friend ,am I lover, is it over now
Do you love me still or do you just mean well
Do you love me still or do you just mean well

I was in the gym, minding my own business in the abdominals machine. Then suddenly, a Chinese lady, probably in her early 30's approaches me:
lady: "how many more sets will you be doing?"
me:(fumbling to remove my earphones) "oh, will you be using it?"
lady: "why else would I ask?" (mataray ang bruha!)
nagtimpi lang ako, but if I was a bit more unhinged, malamang nasabunutan ko na sya. But instead of giving in to temptation, I managed to compose myself and I smiled at her.
me: "oh, sorry. because you look like you really don't need to work on your abs" (in fairness, kahit mataray si ate, sexy sya... panget nga lang... bwaaaaahahaha...)
lady: (blushes 2 shades of red) "Oh..." (long and really really awkward pause)
me: "here you go" (sabay alis sa machine)
and that's how you make kontra a supladang bruha... :P

Yesterday was my 2nd year anniversary here in SG.
Time flies by so fast, I hardly noticed it. Hopefully the next five would be a breeze as well.
Yep. I'm staying here for atleast 5 more years (that's the plan for now... but we'll see how it goes...)

Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough
Now, I don't want to lose you, but I don't want to use you
just to have somebody by my side.
And I don't want to hate you,
I don't want to take you, but I don't want to be the one to cry.
And that don't really matter to anyone anymore.
But like a fool I keep losing my place
and I keep seeing you walk through that door.
(Chorus)
But there's a danger in loving somebody too much,
and it's sad when you know it's your heart you can't trust.
There's a reason why people don't stay where they are.
Baby, sometimes, love just aint enough.
Now, I could never change you, I don't want to blame you.
Baby, you don't have to take the fall.
Yes, I may have hurt you, but I did not desert you.
Maybe I just want to have it all.
It makes a sound like thunder, it makes me feel like rain.
And like a fool who will never see the truth,
I keep thinking something's gonna change.
(Chorus)
And there's no way home, when it's late at night and you're all alone.
Are there things that you wanted to say?
And do you feel me beside you in your bed,
there beside you, where I used to lay?
And there's a danger in loving somebody too much,
and it's sad when you know it's your heart they can't touch.
There's a reason why people don't stay who they are.
Baby, sometimes, love just ain't enough.
Baby, sometimes, love... it just ain't enough.
Oh, Oh, Oh, No.

Rachel [reading to coworkers]: In her acceptance speech, the distinguished scientist paid tribute to her husband, Dr. Chris Davis. Tomorrow the pair celebrate their 42nd wedding anniversary after eloping together on the day they met. When asked how they could possibly have known that it would all work out. Professor Harrison replied in true scientific fashion: "We don't know, you can never be sure. But you take the plunge anyway. Sure is for people who don't love enough."

Some girl on facebook, who goes by the name "M@ja S@lvador" (yes, as in the same name as the abs-cbn talent)just added me in her friends list. Obviously, this is just some poser using the poor kid's name, including her pictures.
I initially thought it was someone I know (whose name I will not disclose...:P) who has this strange fascination with her, so I accepted, and dismissed the idea of investigating it further.
Then, due to boredom, I figured it wouldn't hurt to confirm my initial assumption of who it was. Much to my surprise, we have no mutual friends. And another strange thing... she has 6 other friends who goes by the name "N1na D3la Cruz"... Hmmn... I don't know about you, but I think more than 3 "n1na's" in one list is TOO MUCH of a coincidence.
I think the owner of this account is hunting down some girl that unfortunately has the same name as mine... (or for all I know, I could be the one she's trying to hunt-down?!... feeler!)
Or maybe she's trying to collect all the "N1na D3la Cruz's" in facebook? Weird hobby, eh?
Anyway, I haven't deleted her from my list just yet. (Curiosity got the best of me) But I am closely monitoring her "activities"... especially if it would involve my account. :P

Build Me Up Buttercup
by The Foundations
Why do you build me up (build me up) Buttercup, baby
Just to let me down (let me down) and mess me around
And then worst of all (worst of all) you never call, baby
When you say you will (say you will) but I love you still
I need you (I need you) more than anyone, darlin'
You know that I have from the start
So build me up (build me up) Buttercup, don't break my heart
"I'll be over at ten", you told me time and again
But you're late, I wait around and then
I went to the door, I can't take any more
It's not you, you let me down again
(Hey, hey, hey!) Baby, baby, try to find
(Hey, hey, hey!) A little time and I'll make you mine
(Hey, hey, hey!) I'll be home
I'll be beside the phone waiting for you
Ooo-oo-ooo, ooo-oo-ooo
Why do you build me up (build me up) Buttercup, baby
Just to let me down (let me down) and mess me around
And then worst of all (worst of all) you never call, baby
When you say you will (say you will) but I love you still
I need you (I need you) more than anyone, darlin'
You know that I have from the start
So build me up (build me up) Buttercup, don't break my heart
You were my toy but I could be the boy you adore
If you'd just let me know
Although you're untrue, I'm attracted to you all the more
Why do I need you so
(Hey, hey, hey!) Baby, baby, try to find
I need you, more than anyone, baby
You know that I have from the start
So build me up (build me up) Buttercup, don't break my heart

Just the other day, while I was walking back home from work, I noticed that there is a new 7/11 convenience store near the MRT. Another one?!! But we already have 2?!!
The first one is inside the MRT station itself:
The second one is just about 150 paces away from the first one:
Then the newest one, is also about 150 paces away from the other 2.
*(yes, I counted my steps! just goes to show how bored I am!)
If there weren't any wall in the middle of the three 7/11's, you can simply stand in the center and see all of them!
What the hell is wrong with these people?!

Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now
by MYMP
Looking in your eyes I see a paradise
This world that I found is too good to be true
Standing here beside you, want so much to give you
This love in my heart that I'm feeling for you
Let 'em say we're crazy, don't care 'bout that
Put your hand in my hand baby, don't ever look back
Let the world around us just fall apart
Baby, we can make it if we're heart to heart
And we can build this dream together, standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers, we'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us now
Woh woh oh
I'm so glad I found you, I'm not gonna lose you
Whatever it takes, I will stay here with you
Take it to the good times, see it through the bad times
Whatever it takes is what I'm gonna do
Let 'em say we're crazy, what do they know
Put your arms around me baby, don't ever let go
Let the world around us just fall apart
Baby, we can make it if we're heart to heart
And we can build this dream together, standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers, we'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us
Ooh, all that I need is you
All that I ever need
And all that I want to do
Is hold you forever, forever and ever
And we can build this dream together, standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers, we'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us
Woh oh oh-oh-oh
Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us now
Hey baby
And we can build this dream together, standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers, we'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us now
